Christopher's mum is so busy working that she doesn't notice when her son Christopher invites some guests to live in their rather large house with them. It isn't long before the house is full of interesting characters and Christopher's mum has a problem on her hands.....there is no room for a mouse and.... where is Christopher?
The best part of this book is the wonderful names given to all of the characters - Mrs Fizzletum, Melody Mistletoe, Maestro Bambonium and his Grand Pandemonium, Ringmaster Fergus and the Sawdust Circus, just to name a few. I do wonder how long it took Kyle to come up with these names as they seem to fit the characters perfectly!
Look out Room 4, I can't wait to read this book to you - it's one that is just made for reading aloud!

Duck's Stuck! - reviewed by Mrs May
This is a truly delightful children's picture book about a farmyard duck who sticks his head through a crack in the barn wall to steal grain. After eating too much his cheeks are too full and his head gets stuck in the crack. He enlists the help of chook, goose, cow, horse and eventually rat, who all offer different solutions, but the only one who is successful is the rat.
The simple rhymes are very cleverly written and bring amusement to both the reader and the audience.
This story is a favourite in our household!!!!

Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck! - reviewed by Autumn
I read Kyle Mewburn's book KISS! KISS! YUCK!YUCK! It was a really funny book and I enjoyed reading it. I thought the character of Aunty Elsie was crazy and fun. The ending was nice because Andy realized that he had really missed his Aunty.

Stego-snottysaurus
This is a great, funny book with dumb cavemen and lots of snot. YUK! He has a stupid brother called Shlok a sister called Hng a stupid father and a stupid mother. It's better than a book that has jokes inside it! It has loads of laughs inside it and really funny stuff. Here's my favourite sentence out of it;
"SPLAT! A huge glob of snot splattered onto args right cheek."
T-Wreck-Asaurus - Reviewed by Lochie
T-Wreck-Asaurus is one of the books in the series Dinosaur Rescue that is written by Kyle Mewburn. It's about a smart cave boy called Arg. It is a really funny book with good cavemen pictures that will make you laugh out loud! If this sounds like this book was made for you I would suggest you read it because it is a mean book and a good read!
Old Hu-Hu - reviewed by Melissa
In the writing group we got a book to study. The author had to be Kyle Mewburn. So I picked one of his childrens book awards Finalist…. Old Hu-Hu. I love how Kyle Mewburn rhymes the words. I also love how Hu-Hu-Tu never gives up in Old Hu-Hu. Then he finds out where he went. It’s a story about losing someone close and about finding where they went to. This is one of my favourite books. I think Kyle Mewburn is an amazing writer!

Three Cheers for No Ears - reviewed by Sam
Three Cheers For No Ears is a book about sad elphant who gets teased because his ears are so small. Because of this none of the elaphants will be his friend he makes friends with all the birds. But one day something happens which makes him realise that having small ears isn't so bad. I think it is a nice story because it lets people know that being different from others is a good thing and that we are all special in our own way.
